National Security Council Order (Amendment) Order 2002

Chief Executive Order No. 6 of 2002

AN ORDER to amend the National Security Council Order, 2001.


WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the National Security Council Order 2001 (Chief Executive's Order No 5 of 2001) for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

NOW, THEREFORE, in pursuance of the Proclamation of Emergency of the fourteenth day of October, 1999, and Provisional Constitution Order No 1 of 1999, and in exercise of all powers enabling him in that behalf, the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is pleased to make and promulgate the following Order:-

1. Short title and commencement.
(1) This Order may be called the National Security Council Order (Amendment) Order, 2002.
(2) It shall come into force at once.
2. Amendment of Schedule, Chief Executive's Order No 5 of 2001
In the National Security Council Order (Chief Executive's Order No 5 of 2001), in the Schedule, in the third paragraph, for the words, commas and figure "issued by the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Army Staff and the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on the Fourteenth Day of October, 1999 and all subsequent Orders issued by him" the words "and all subsequent Orders made or issued by the Chief Executive of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan" shall be substituted.
